El Hospital Universitario Río Hortega de Valladolid ha celebrado las XIV Jornadas de Cirugía Laparoscópica y Robótica - HURH LAP 2026.

Lo que llamamos cirugía mínimamente invasiva, cada vez tienen un peso mayor en la actividad de quirófano.

"En colon, en este hospital, prácticamente el 100% se hace por vía mínimamente invasiva, sea laparoscopia o robótica. En la cirugía del páncreas estamos yendo casi ya a un 70%; en cirugía del hígado, más o menos el 50%, y en cirugía de pared (abdominal), estamos también empezando», describe David Pacheco Sánchez, jefe del Servicio de Cirugía General y del Aparato Digestivo del Río Hortega, para contextualizar lo que supone actualizar la formación y compartir los avances con especialistas nacionales e internacionales, en unas técnicas que se aplican también en patologías de cirugía menor.

La sanidad pública de Castilla y León pasa de 860 a 2.600 cirugías robóticas en cinco años

Los hospitales de Castilla y León han pasado de realizar 860 cirugías robóticas en 2022 a alrededor de 2.600 en 2025. Una cifra que se superará este año, puesto que el balance del primer semestre sumó 1.600 operaciones.

Es un dato que ofreció en la inauguración de las jornadas sobre laparoscopia el director general de Salud Digital e Infraestructuras Sanitarias de la Junta, Víctor Quirós González, que destacó el esfuerzo inversor para dotar a los 14 hospitales públicos de la comunidad con una veintena de robot quirúrgicos, tecnología a la que se suman la adquisición de 16 equipos de artroscopia y laparoscopia.

De las 2.600 operaciones de cirugía robótica del 2025, alrededor de 550 se hicieron en el Río Hortega.
