El Área de Salud Valladolid Oeste (ASVAO) ha conmemorado el Día Mundial sin Tabaco, con el objetivo de sensibilizar a la población y fomentar hábitos de vida saludables.

Para ello, se organizaron varias actividades, tanto en el Hospital Universitario Río Hortega como en los centros de salud.

Entre ellas se incluyeron mesas informativas donde, además de poder resolver dudas con profesionales sanitarios expertos en la materia, se realizaban las siguientes intervenciones a los ciudadanos interesados:

• Pruebas de cooximetría y determinación de edad pulmonar: para evaluar los niveles de monóxido de carbono inhalado y su impacto funcional.
• Test de Fagerström: para medir el grado de dependencia física a la nicotina.
• Asesoramiento personalizado: entrega de recomendaciones clave para incentivar y apoyar el proceso de deshabituación tabáquica.
