Solemos pensar que en casa estamos seguros. Pero nadie nos libra de padecer una caída.

El 30% de los mayores de 65 años sufren al menos una al año. Y esta cifra se dispara hasta el 50% en los mayores de 80 años.

Esto puede provocar fracturas, lesiones y temores.

Para hablar de esto y enseñar a las personas que son susceptibles de padecer una caída y a sus cuidadores a prevenirlas y a reaccionar ante ellas, los profesionales del Hospital Universitario Río Hortega organizaron tres mesas informativas en el vestíbulo principal del centro.

A ellas se han acercado muchas personas que han podido resolver sus dudas y recibir consejos prácticos.
